How to Occupy Black Friday. Weather you’re planning to cover any Occupy movement or Black Friday in the US, here are 10 Tips on how to succeed one of the nation’s largest fiascos.

1. Bring the proper identification.
Just as you may be required to show you identification if arrested at an Occupy movement, make sure you being the proper accreditation with you to Black Friday. Many stores advertise a “lowest price” guarantee, where you may need to give a competitor’s advertisement to guarantee your price. Bring the store advertisement with you.
2. Wear comfortable shoes to walk/run in. Like the masses of people participating in the worldwide Occupy movement, make sure you also wear comfortable shoes. Weather you need to run from a riot, or run to the last Sony flat-screen TV, make sure you can out run your opponent. Wearing sneakers will enable you to run around those tight corners faster.
3. Come prepared with supplies. Instead of stocking your backpack with a tent, sleeping bag, medical kit, rain gear, or spare batteries; stock up on water, fruit and other light snacks when shopping during Black Friday. You’ll be on your feet for hours at a time, and you’ll definitely need some food to refuel your energy.
4. Don’t go alone. Be savvy and travel in a pack. Plan to attack different sections of the store to cover the most ground. Designate a meeting place.
5. Stay away from aggressive people. Not only do they come with negative intentions, but they’ll go to far extremes to make a point and make themselves heard. If an argument erupts, peacefully turn around and walk in the opposite direction. Crowds have a life of their own, so stay away from a prevailing crowd.
6. Know your surroundings. Once you arrive, visualize where you are, spot escape routes and look for landmarks like a tall buildings, lampposts, or a decorative end-aisle display. It’s easy to get disoriented in a crowd. If possible, explore the terrain ahead of time.
7. Plan ahead. Research Black Friday deals, what time stores open, and early bird shopper discounts. Be sure to ask for a gift receipt.
8. Stay alert and on edge. Don’t get caught between police and protestors, or two men fighting over the last iPad 2 at Best Buy. Also avoid horses, they bite and kick, and so don’t mean people.
9. Be safe. If trouble erupts, avoid getting caught in the unruly crowd and keep your distance from violence. Don’t trample or shoot anyone!
